Vainio joins Varma from Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company, where she has worked as a process director since 2021 and most recently as head of the major accounts team. Prior to that, she worked at Varma in IT and client service functions and at Nordea.
“I am delighted to appoint Hanna Vainio as Varma’s Senior Vice-President of IT and Digitalisation and a member of Varma’s Executive Group. Hanna has extensive experience in both business development and management, and IT and digitalisation,” says President and CEO Risto Murto.

Varma’s current Vice-President of IT and Digitalisation is Tiina Kurki, who will leave her job at Varma on 30 September 2024.
