Varma has launched a Whistleblowing channel. The background is an EU directive concerning reporting violations, for instance, in public procurements and financial services, and in competition-, bribery- and corruption-related matters.
Varma’s core task, securing pensions, is a significant social mandate that requires a high level of ethics and transparency.
It is important that everyone reports suspected misconduct that has no place in our organisation’s responsible, sound business practices. This gives us the opportunity to prevent or rectify all cases of misconduct. You do not need proof to back up your suspicions, but whistleblowing reports must be made in good faith.
You can raise your concerns anonymously through the Whistleblowing channel. It is maintained by an outside partner, WhistleB.
At Varma, whistleblowing reports are processed confidentially by a Whistleblowing Team made up of representatives from the Compliance and Internal Audit departments. No one else at Varma has access to the reports.
Suspected misconduct can be reported at the address https://report.whistleb.com/en/varma.
