The online service for private customers will have a service interruption, starting on 16 January and ending on 29 January
The Varma Online Service for our private customers is scheduled to be down from 16 to 29 January 2025.
During the interruption, all services related to private customers’ pensions and rehabilitation will be unavailable. For example, it will not be possible to apply for pension through the online service, review a pension decision, check the earnings-related pension record, make a pension estimate or use the pension recipient’s services, such as increasing the tax rate.
We recommend that you take care of your pension matters before or after the interruption, if possible. For example, it is advisable to change the tax rate or bank account of a pension or rehabilitation benefit in our online service by 13 January at the latest so that the change can be made before the payment of the pension/benefit in February.
Our online service will be available again on Thursday 30 January.
We normally pay February pensions on the first banking day of the month, i.e. Monday 3 February.
The interruption will not affect the self-employed person’s pension insurance or employer services. They can be used normally in the online service.
Our open website varma.fi will be available to you during the interruption.
The interruption will also affect the processing of pension and rehabilitation applications
If you plan to retire from 1 February, fill in your pension application well in advance, at the beginning of January.
The interruption will also affect the processing of pension and rehabilitation applications. The processing time of applications may be longer than usual. We will process the applications in the order of arrival as quickly as possible.
Due to the interruption, we will exceptionally mail our pension and rehabilitation decisions to all customers until 31 January.
Please note that you will not be able to apply for pension or rehabilitation in our online service between 16 and 29 January. Instead, you will have access to a pension application form (PDF) that you can print and send by secure e-mail (Securedmail) or by mail to us.
We will publish a guidance page regarding the service interruption for our customers on our website on 3 January.
We apologise for any inconvenience the service interruption may cause.
